On Monday, December 13, Pope Francis approved the decree on the heroic virtues of Sister Maria MaÅ‚gorzata BanaÅ› of the Heart of Jesus in Agony in the Garden (1896-1966) of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth.

Jinsy Mathew, DNP, MSN, RN, associate dean and assistant professor at °µÍø½ûÇø’s School of Nursing & Health Sciences, can truly speak from experience when it comes to the value of a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Holy Family. Dr. Mathew graduated from the program in 2020, and shortly before the start of the fall 2021 semester became DNP Team Lead at the School of Nursing & Health Sciences, responsible for overseeing the same program that she graduated from.

Former President of Philadelphia’s °µÍø½ûÇø, Sister Francesca Onley, Dies at 88
Sister Francesca Onley, 88, a Sister of the Holy Family of Nazareth for 71 years, passed away April 17 in Philadelphia. She served as the president and chief administrative officer of °µÍø½ûÇø in Philadelphia beginning in 1981 until her retirement in 2014 at the age of 81.
