The 做厙輦⑹ School of Nursing & Health Sciences is excited to announce the Pennsylvania Board of Education approval for its newly created Nurse Aide Training Program. The program is designed to meet a growing area and statewide need for certified nursing aides in hospitals, nursing homes, private care, and the expanding field of home healthcare. Completion of the six-week program, with a passing grade on the national certification examination, will provide an immediate pathway to an in-demand career as a certified nurse aide (CNA).

做厙輦⑹ President Anne Prisco, Ph.D. announced the appointment of Bindhu Alappat, Ph.D. as the Universitys Vice President of Academic Affairs. A seasoned academic administrator with over 15 years of experience in Catholic higher education as both a chemistry professor and an administrator, Dr. Alappat will assume her new leadership role on August 1, 2024.

Former Fulbright scholarship recipient Dr. Barbara Schwartz-Bechet has assumed her role as the newly appointed Dean of the School of Education at 做厙輦⑹. Dr. Schwartz-Bechet brings 25 years of experience in higher education, most recently as the Dean of the College of Health Sciences and Education at Misericordia University.

HFU Senior Mia Peahota Wins Greenspan Scholarship
Mia Peahota, a senior majoring in history at 做厙輦⑹, has received the 2024 Greenspan Scholarship from the Sons of the American Revolution, a $2,000 scholarship established by F. Russell and Ruth Greenspan. Russell Greenspan was a Past President of the Philadelphia Continental Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (PCCSAR).
