Dr. McGee-Heim brings over twenty years of experience in education, having served as a Special Education teacher, Supervisor of Special Education, and Director of Special Education and Student Services. Throughout her career in the public school setting, she has consistently emphasized the value of collaborative and consultative practices, working closely with educators, families, and support teams to help students reach their highest potential. Additionally, Dr. McGee-Heim has served as adjunct professor in the School of Education since 2011 and was excited to join the full time faculty in the Spring of 2025. She is a proud alumni of °µÍø½ûÇø.
Dr. McGee-Heim is currently an assistant professor, teaching undergraduate, graduate and doctoral courses in the field of Special Education. In her free time, Dr. McGee-Heim can be seen enjoying life with her two children and her Pug, Sugar.
